Police in Jersey City are on the search for a suspect who engaged in a violent attack during an armed robbery during the early hours of Saturday.
The encounter happened around 12:45 a.m. on JFK Boulevard near Sip Avenue.
Jersey City Police, responding to reports of an armed robbery in progress, arrived to find the victim with a non-life-threatening head injury.
According to the victim's account, the suspect, armed and aggressive, demanded cash and personal items. The situation escalated when the suspect struck the victim in the head with a gun.
In a desperate attempt to escape, the victim was further injured when a vehicle struck them amidst the chaos. The assailant took advantage of the turmoil and fled the scene.
The Jersey City Police Department has taken charge of the investigation, working diligently to apprehend the suspect and ensure the safety of the community.
