Newark Police are searching for suspects involved in an armed robbery at the Exxon gas station on 481 Central Avenue.
The robbery, occurring around 1 p.m. on Wednesday, January 17, has put cops on alert.
Authorities are seeking a 2021 dark gray Jeep Cherokee with dark rims and no visible registration plates.
The vehicle was last spotted heading south on South 7th Street.
Reports describe one of the suspects as a light-skinned male wearing a green face mask who was armed with a handgun during the crime.
An accomplice, also light-skinned, was seen driving the getaway vehicle and was notably wearing an orange hoodie.
During the robbery, the armed suspect reportedly brandished a weapon and successfully extracted an undisclosed amount of cash from the gas station employees before making a swift escape.
No physical injuries sustained by the employees were reported during the incident.
Police are calling on the community to provide any information that may lead to the apprehension of the suspects involved in this brazen daylight robbery.
