East Orange Police officials have reported no injuries in a shooting incident that occurred in the city early Friday morning.
Around 3 a.m., police units were dispatched to the intersection of Main Street and Greenwood Avenue following reports of gunfire near a local firehouse.
Upon arrival, officers found several shell casings at the scene.
An extensive search of the area ensued, but thankfully, no victims were discovered.
The area was quickly cordoned off to allow detectives to investigate and collect evidence.
As of now, the suspect responsible for the shooting fled the scene and remains at large. The motive behind this early morning shooting incident is still undetermined.
The investigation continues as East Orange Police work to uncover further details and ensure public safety.
