Authorities in Newark request the public’s help with identifying the suspects in connection with a theft from an auto incident on January 10, 2024. Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said the incident occurred at approximately 1:55 p.m. in the 100 block of Roseville Avenue and 7th Avenue.
Officials said one of the suspects, a Black male, was captured on surveillance video reaching into the victim’s vehicle and taking a cell phone while the second suspect, a Black female, was with him.
They both left walking southbound on Roseville Avenue toward Orange Street, according to officials.
The male suspect was wearing a black, purple, and white Baltimore Ravens beanie hat, a purple and white varsity jacket, gray sweats, and black sneakers, officials stated.
Authorities say the female suspect had pink hair and was wearing a light gray jacket with a gray scarf, gray pants, and black, blue, and red Nike Jordan sneakers.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the suspects to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
