Authorities in Newark are appealing to the public for assistance in identifying a suspect linked to a shooting incident that took place on Christmas Day.The shooting occurred at around 8:20 p.m. near the intersection of 18th Avenue and Irvine Turner Boulevard.
Responding to the incident, Newark Police initiated an investigation into the matter.
The primary suspect in this case is described as a Black male with braided hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with distinctive white drawstrings, blue distressed jeans, and black shoes.
Director Fragé, leading the investigation, is urging anyone with any information regarding the suspect's identity to come forward.The public can provide their tips by calling the Police Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). Director Fragé assures that all tips received through the Crime Stoppers line will remain confidential.
Furthermore, information leading to the identification of the suspect may be eligible for a reward.
