The Kearny Police Department is urgently seeking the public's assistance in locating a missing 12-year-old boy, Jason Martinez. 
Jason was last seen at 8 a.m. today in the vicinity of Kearny Ave and Midland Ave in Kearny.
Jason is described as 4 feet 2 inches tall, with light skin and black hair.
His last known attire was an orange sweater featuring a black Nike logo, gray pants marked with "Lincoln School," and black and red sneakers.
The Kearny Police Department is asking anyone with information regarding Jason Martinez's whereabouts to come forward.
