Firefighters in Burlington County battled a raging fire that broke out early this morning at the Edgewater Manor Apartments in Edgewater Township/Beverly.
Dispatched to building 120 on Elm Street, fire crews arrived to find the structure fiercely engulfed in flames.
With reports of potential occupants trapped inside, firefighters promptly stretched multiple lines and entered the burning building. As the fire viciously tore through the second floor, officials at the scene escalated the situation to a second alarm.
Thankfully, the firefighters' quick action in dousing the flames and searching the building revealed no trapped or seriously injured individuals.
The fire was successfully brought under control shortly before 1:15 a.m.
The American Red Cross was summoned to assist approximately ten families affected by the blaze.
Officials say the cause of the fire remains under investigation, with authorities working to determine its origin.
