As the day progresses, residents can expect mostly cloudy skies, with temperatures reaching a comfortable high near 51 degrees.
The National Weather Service reports a gentle northeast wind blowing at 3 to 5 mph, making for a pleasantly mild Christmas Day.
Tonight, the area will see patchy fog after 1 a.m., with the clouds persisting and temperatures dropping to a low of around 41 degrees.
It's a perfect setting for those final moments of Christmas Day celebrations.
