Newark Police are investigating a stabbing incident in the city's North Ward, which occurred in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The victim, a 25-year-old man, was rushed to University Hospital following the attack.
According to reports, the incident took place near the intersection of Broad Street and Clay Street shortly before 1:20 a.m. Upon interviewing the victim at the hospital, officers gathered that the encounter happened in this area.
Subsequently, police conducted a thorough canvassing of the location, although it remains unclear if any substantial evidence was recovered from the scene.
The victim is reportedly in stable condition.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the stabbing. The investigation continues as Newark Police seek to determine the circumstances surrounding this violent encounter.
