Wednesday night in Newark, police were set into motion following a shooting incident that left one male injured.
The situation came to light when officials at University Hospital notified the Newark Police after a male victim with a gunshot wound arrived at the emergency department around 8:15 p.m.
The victim was brought to the medical center by a private vehicle, specifically a dark-colored Mercedes.
This has led police to conduct a thorough canvassing around the hospital area in search of the vehicle reportedly involved in dropping off the victim.
The investigation into this shooting is currently active and ongoing. As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
Newark Police are piecing together the events of the night to ascertain the exact location of the shooting and to identify any suspects involved.
