Early morning commuters in Hudson County faced unexpected disruptions as police announced the closure of Route 7 in both directions at Schuler Avenue due to flooding.
The closure, which started around 4:30 a.m., has impacted residents of Kearny, Harrison, and East Newark.
Kearny Police have blocked the roadway, actively diverting traffic and advising drivers to seek alternative routes.
With the situation likely to affect the morning commute, authorities recommend that travelers allocate extra time for their journey.
Use caution if you are headed out early for work.
