A multi-vehicle accident in Jersey City sent six people, including two children, to area hospitals last night.
Police responded to the area of Fulton Avenue and Van Cleef Street for a report of a serious multi-vehicle crash sometime around 10:30 p.m.
A 32-year-old Jersey City woman - driving a 2000 Ford - collided with a 1999 Honda driven by a 31-year-old city man. The Honda then crashed into an unoccupied 2004 Volkswagen that was parked in the vicinity.
The Ford had a total of four occupants - the driver, another woman and two children, ages 4 and 5 - who were transported to Jersey City Medical Center - Barnabas Health. The driver suffered non-life threatening injuries and was in stable condition. The passenger was treated for a complain of pain. The children were admitted for observation.
The driver and his passenger of the Honda were both transported to University Hospital in Newark with life-threatening injuries.
The driver suffered a fractured neck and is currently in stable, but serious condition. The driver was awaiting surgery.
The passenger is said to be in stable condition with unspecified injuries.
