NWS: Bundle Up for Chilly, Breezy Start to the Day in Newark

The National Weather Service (NWS) is urging residents in Newark and the surrounding North Jersey region to dress warmly as they venture out this morning.AdTemperatures are hovering around the freezing mark, making for a very cold start to the day. Grabbing a coat is essential for those who haven't stepped outside yet.

The region is also experiencing breezy conditions this morning, though the winds are expected to subside later in the day. Despite the chilly start, the day will be dry, offering some comfort.

According to The National Weather Service, today's forecast includes sunny skies with a high near 42 degrees, but wind chill values will remain between 25 and 35 degrees. T

The northwest wind will blow at a moderate speed of 7 to 9 mph.

As night falls, the skies will stay mostly clear, with a low of around 30 degrees. The southwest wind will persist at about nine mph.

The NWS reminds everyone in Newark and North Jersey to stay warm and enjoy a great day despite the brisk weather conditions.
