Authorities in Passaic County are investigating a shooting incident that left a 30-year-old resident wounded.
Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes confirmed that at around 7:02 p.m. on November 24, Paterson Police were called to the intersection of Market Street and Madison Avenue following reports of gunfire.
Upon their arrival, officers discovered the victim, who had suffered a non-fatal gunshot wound.
The injured man was promptly transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson for medical treatment.
Prosecutor Valdes said his current condition has not been disclosed, but she indicated that the wound was non-lethal.
Paterson Police, in their immediate response, managed to identify a potential crime scene in the vicinity of the shooting.
This area is now central to their ongoing investigation.
As the investigation continues, the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office has urged the public to come forward with any relevant information.
