In a recent shooting incident in Paterson, a man was hospitalized following a shots fired situation on Market Street.
The Paterson Police Department reported the event on Friday night in the 300 block.
At around 7 p.m., officers were dispatched to the location after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon their arrival, they discovered a victim with a non-fatal gunshot wound to his leg.
The individual was promptly transported to St. Joseph's Medical Center for treatment. Meanwhile, the area was cordoned off by the police as they commenced their investigation.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting. The case remains under active investigation by local authorities.
The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office has been notified and is involved in working on the case.
