NWS: Cooler Start to the Week, Rainy Days on the Horizon in North Jersey

Newark

Real EstateBy: Richard L. Smith

Newark and North Jersey residents will be reaching for their coats as they step out to start the week, with temperatures near freezing in some areas.

However, despite the chilly morning, The National Weather Service says Monday is expected to remain dry with sunny skies, but temperatures will struggle to get out of the 40's

As we progress through Monday night, temperatures are forecasted to drop further, with most areas experiencing a low of around 30 degrees and wind chill values between 25 and 30.

A northeast wind of around seven mph will add to the cool conditions.

The weather will take a turn on Tuesday and Wednesday as Newark prepares for a soaking rainfall.

This anticipated precipitation will persist through Tuesday and taper off on Wednesday. It will drop about 1-2 inches of rain in parts of our North Jersey region by then.
