While today's numbers might not be as bone-chilling as yesterday's, the brisk winds certainly make it feel colder.
Newark and the surrounding region are currently experiencing a dry spell.
Today, The National Weather Service says residents can expect mostly sunny skies, with temperatures reaching a high near 51 degrees. However, a significant northwest wind, blowing at speeds of 8 to 16 mph, will likely make it feel cooler than the thermometer suggests.
As the day transitions into night, some patchy frost may develop after 1 a.m.
Despite the cold, the night will remain clear, with temperatures dropping to around 35 degrees. The wind will subside, coming from the north at speeds of 3 to 8 mph.
So, while it may be chilly out there, at least you can expect plenty of sunshine in Newark for the day ahead.
