NWS: Cooler Temperatures in Store for Newark, North Jersey Region

After enjoying pleasant temperatures around 65 degrees on Sunday, residents in Newark and the North Jersey Region can expect a slight cooldown today.

However, this change is well within the expected range for this time of year.

According to meteorologists at the National Weather Service, today's weather forecast promises mostly sunny skies with a daytime high near 55 degrees. The north wind, blowing at approximately six mph, will later shift to a southeast direction during the afternoon.

NinosAs evening falls, there's a 30 percent chance of showers, mainly expected between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m.

The night will be mostly cloudy, with temperatures remaining relatively steady at around 52 degrees.

The southeast wind will persist at 6 to 9 mph, eventually becoming southwest after midnight.

While temperatures are dipping a bit, it's a typical transition into cooler fall weather, providing an opportunity to enjoy the changing seasons.
