A significant boost to the City of Paterson's recreational spaces is on the horizon, thanks to a collaborative effort between Mayor Andre Sayegh and the Passaic County Board of County Commissioners.

City officials will reveal plans on Wednesday, November 1, to revitalize the iconic Lou Costello Pool and its surrounding area.

The City of Paterson has secured a substantial $250,000 grant from the Open Space, Farmland, and Historic Preservation Trust Fund (OSTF), which the County of Passaic provided.

Additionally, an additional $76,000 grant from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs Local Recreation Improvement Grant will further bolster the city's ambitious renovation project.

The Lou Costello Pool holds a special place in the hearts of Paterson's residents, offering a cherished space to cool off and enjoy the summer months.

However, over time, the pool and its surroundings have been in need of revitalization and improvement.

The grant funding is expected to play a pivotal role in restoring this vital recreational space for the community.

The collaborative efforts between the City of Paterson and Passaic County showcase their commitment to providing a renewed and improved recreational space that will undoubtedly benefit the community for years to come.

The pool's renovation is a promising step towards enhancing the quality of life for Paterson's residents.
