Police in Paterson swiftly responded to a shooting incident thanks to the quick alert from a ShotSpotter device.
The incident occurred at approximately 12:55 a.m. in the vicinity of 22 North York Street.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered more than a dozen shell casings, indicating multiple shots had been fired. However, after conducting a thorough search of the area, no victims were located.
The shooter had fled the scene and is currently at large.
An active and ongoing investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting and identify the individuals involved.
No arrests have been reported.
