Authorities in Jersey City are questioning a suspect they believe is involved in an overnight shooting that occurred in the vicinity of Martin Luther King Drive and Orient Avenue.
The incident transpired at approximately 2:20 a.m. and prompted an immediate response from law enforcement.
Preliminary findings from the ongoing investigation suggest that the suspect arrived at the location and discharged multiple rounds at unidentified individuals. However, the exact motive behind the shooting remains unclear at this time.
Shortly before the arrival of officers at the scene, the suspect managed to flee, making a successful escape. Nevertheless, the police detained an individual they believe may have been involved in the incident.
Upon conducting a thorough search of the area, authorities discovered shell casings, though there were no reported injuries as a result of the shooting.
