Authorities in Montclair are currently conducting an investigation into a tragic incident that occurred overnight at Yogi Berra Stadium on the campus of Montclair State University.
The incident involved someone falling from a parking deck at the minor league baseball stadium.
According to a preliminary investigation, emergency responders were alerted to the situation before 9:45 p.m.
When they arrived at the scene, responders discovered a male victim who had sustained severe injuries after falling from several stories of the parking deck.
Despite immediate medical attention, the victim was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
While authorities initially suspect that the male may have jumped from the parking deck, they are investigating to determine if any foul play was involved.
The investigation remains ongoing as they work to piece together the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
