Newark and the North Jersey region are in for a shift in weather as the weekend approaches.
While my friends and family recently enjoyed a 4-day stretch of nice weather, it appears that clouds and showers are on the horizon.
According to data from The National Weather Service, the forecast for the day includes a 40 percent chance of showers, particularly after 8 a.m. It won't rain all day, but there will be occasional precipitation in the region.
Additionally, patchy fog may be present before 10 a.m., so commuters are advised to exercise caution on the roads. Temperatures are expected to remain seasonable, with a high near 73.
Despite the cloudy conditions and occasional rain, the weather remains relatively mild.
However, NWS forecasters say heavier rain is anticipated on Saturday, making it advisable to keep those umbrellas handy as the weekend unfolds.
