Authorities in Newark request the public’s help identifying the suspects in connection with a robbery that occurred on Saturday, September 9.
According to Newark Police, at approximately 5:30 a.m., a man walking in the area of Jefferson Street and Malvern Street was approached by a blue vehicle.
Police say two male passengers exited the vehicle with one suspect brandishing a handgun and demanding the victim’s belongings.
The suspect with the firearm proceeded to pistol-whip the victim after stealing his wallet and cell phone.
