Police are on the search for the driver of a vehicle that struck a middle school student early this morning in the city's South Ward then fled the scene.
The incident happened between 8 and 8:30 this morning on the Clinton Place side of University High School where the 13-year-old 8th grade boy was crossing the street when a vehicle came out of nowhere and plowed in the boy causing minor scrapes and bruises before fleeing the scene.
The vehicle is described as a small green colored car (possibly resembling a Saturn) and should have front end damage on the right side.
The driver of the vehicle is a black male, brown complexion with a thin face. The man has dreadlocks to the length of his chin and neck.
