On Sunday night, a death investigation in Newark prompted the city's law enforcement swift response.
Around 10:15 p.m., police were summoned to the 40's block of Dickerson following reports of an unconscious person.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered the unresponsive person. Tragically, the individual was pronounced dead on location.
Authorities have launched an active investigation into the circumstances surrounding this suspicious death.
At this time, details regarding the cause or manner of death have not been disclosed, and the incident has not been immediately classified as a homicide.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
