Today's wisdom for wifepreneurs has little to do with a tutorial on the latest business system or my favorite time-saving `app. Instead, it has everything to do with perceiving the goodness of God and how that goodness permeates every aspect of life, including business.
For us, God is key.
Here's why. He is the Light and Lamp for our uncertain path.
Pslam 119:105 says,
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Let me give you a quick example of what this has looked like for me recently.
Yesterday, I felt inundated with trying to get 'it all' done in time for the weekend. However, I looked at my schedule, took a deep breath, and decided to accomplish one goal at a time, doing my best to reserve my energy so I wouldn't end the day in utter exhaustion.
It seemed hardly possible.
Here's how it ended.
I succeeded!
But not because I did everything so well! In fact, I didn't even do all of the things planned. Two of my most significant appointments were rescheduled.
I didn't realize until it was over that I needed that space! I was so grateful for that time to think and get other things done. PLUS, I ended the day with a significant amount of energy! #winning
The point is that God knew what I needed when I didn't even know what to pray for. Sometimes, we pray for one thing, expecting it to come a specific way.
But God has countless ways to bring about His purpose for us. On this particular day, instead of giving me more strength for the day, He removed the things that required the MOST strength.
My lesson was that however God decides to answer, he is always gracious. I want everyone reading this to know that He is GOOD even when situations aren't.
He is FAITHFUL when others aren't. The evil in the world is only a glimpse of what could (and should) happen.
His goodness is holding back the clouds of terror that could have easily overtaken us.
So, my word of wisdom today is to rest in the goodness of God.
