Authorities in Passaic County are actively investigating a violent stabbing incident that occurred around midnight on North 8th Street.
Police swiftly responded to reports of an aggravated assault in progress in the 300 block of the street.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers discovered an unidentified individual who had sustained a severe stab wound to the neck.
The injured person was bleeding heavily, prompting officers to request urgent medical assistance. EMS was immediately dispatched to the location to provide treatment.
The victim was transported to a local hospital for further medical care. As of now, the victim's condition has not been released to the public.
Police have cordoned off the area and established a crime scene as they work to gather evidence and interview potential witnesses.
The investigation is ongoing, and anyone with relevant information is urged to come forward to assist Prospect Park law enforcement.
