The Essex County Sheriff's Crime Stoppers Program is now extending a reward of up to $5,000 for crucial information that leads to the arrest of those responsible for the victim's demise.
At approximately 11 a.m. on August 29, the Essex County Sheriff's Office received a notification regarding a body within Weequahic Park. Responding promptly, law enforcement personnel discovered the lifeless body in the park's lake.
Tragically, the victim's death was confirmed at the scene, with official pronouncement taking place at 11:06 a.m.
Currently, the victim's identity remains unknown.
Sources say the man was stabbed multiple times.
