Five firefighters have sustained minor injuries while battling a heavy blaze that engulfed a vacant building located at 426 Prospect Street.
According to East Orange City officials, the fire, which broke out at 2:30 p.m., went to about three alarms due to the intensity of the flames.
Officials said firefighters managed to bring the situation under control by 3:35 p.m.
The injured firefighters are currently being assessed at nearby hospitals.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
