EMS transported a senior woman to the hospital for treatment after a vehicle struck her in Hackensack Saturday night.
At approximately 8:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Lehigh and Essex streets to investigate reports of a pedestrian hit by a car.
Upon arrival, police found a woman around 65 lying on the ground suffering severe injuries.
The unidentified victim was rushed to an area hospital and the extent of her injuries has not been immediately reported.
Police believe that the suspect vehicle that struck the woman is a gray Mustang that fled the scene, and the driver remains at large.
