No arrests were reported in a shots-fired incident in Newark's Central Ward Sunday morning.
According to a preliminary investigation, a ShotSpotter device activated and alerted police of a shooting in the area of 250 West Kinney Street around 1:15 a.m.
Officers arrived and alerted local medical centers to look for walk-in gunshot victims.
Police canvassed the neighborhood and found nearly a dozen shell casings, but no injuries were reported after their search.
The suspect fled the scene and is at large.
