On Friday night, no injuries were reported in a shots-fired incident in Newark's West Ward.
A ShotSpotter device was activated in the area of 255 South 11th Street around 10:45 p.m., prompting police to the scene to investigate.
When officers arrived, they located several shell casings, but after canvassing the neighborhood, no injuries were reported.
The suspect fled the scene and remains at large.
