Authorities in Newark reported police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the male suspect in connection with a theft that occurred on Wednesday, August 9.
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé said at approximately 7:30 p.m., police responded to 7-Eleven, at 790 Broad Street, on a call of a theft.
According to authorities, a male customer reached over the counter and took an employee’s purse containing $50.00 and other personal belongings.
The suspect is described as having several freckles on his face and is known to frequent Broad Street and Market Street, police say.
