Emergency responders in Bergen County assisted two victims seriously burned by Tiki torches Sunday night.
According to preliminary information, at approximately 11 p.m., police were dispatched to an address on Collignon Way to investigate reports of a fire with injured people.
Upon arrival, responders requested assistance from a Medivac helicopter to rush two severely burned victims to the hospital.
Police believe the victims were burned while operating Tiki torches that malfunctioned.
The pair were airlifted to St. Barnabus Burn Center in Livingston for treatment and are reportedly being treated for burns.
The incident is under an active investigation.
