Police in NJ are continuing to investigate a shooting that happened in the parking lot of a amusement park on Saturday.
The unsettling incident unfolded at around 7:52 p.m. at Clementon Park and Splash World, as police received reports of gunshots fired and a brawl involving multiple individuals in the parking lot.
According to Clementon officials, swift police response was instrumental in diffusing the situation and separating those engaged in the altercation.
One suspect, Mr. Quahee Eaton-Kennedy, 24, hailing from Philadelphia, was apprehended and taken into custody.
Eaton-Kennedy now faces serious charges, having been arrested for 2nd-degree possession of a weapon.
Authorities are urging anyone with additional information regarding the incident to contact the Clementon Police Department Detective Bureau at (856) 783-2271.
Clementon Police said the success of managing this volatile situation wouldn't have been possible without the support of several neighboring police departments.
“The combined efforts of Lindenwold, Pine Hill, Laurel Springs, Gloucester Township, Somerdale, Stratford, Berlin Borough, and Chesilhurst police departments are greatly appreciated and underline the importance of collective community security,” Clementon Police officials said.
