Officials in Parsippany-Troy Hills reported that the Parsippany Library is pleased to announce the reopening of the Mt. Tabor Branch Library on August 8th.
The branch is located at 31 Trinity Park in the historic community of Mt. Tabor.
The original structure dates to 1873, when it was constructed as an open pavilion; the building was enclosed in 1901.
The building has served as a community library since 1901 and became, along with the Lake Hiawatha Branch Library, part of the Parsippany Library in 1968, and has served as a municipal library ever since officials said.
According to Parsippany-Troy Hills officials, the library has been closed since March 2020 and is reopening after over three years, thanks to the tireless efforts of the Mt. Tabor residents who passionately fought for their library.
Officials say the Mt. Tabor Branch Library’s hours are Tuesday 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Wednesday 3 p.m. – 8 p.m., Thursday 3 p.m. – 8 p.m., Friday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.
RLS Media was told that the Parsippany- Troy Hills Public Library officials are looking forward to welcoming the residents of Mt. Tabor and all of Parsippany-Troy Hills back to the library.
