Police in Newark are investigating another broad daylight shooting that caused property damage in Newark's North Ward Monday morning.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the area of 180 Bloomfield Avenue around 11:30 a.m.
Newark Major Crimes Unit was called to the scene when officers found two buildings on the street struck by bullets and shell casings.
No one inside the building suffered injuries, the suspect fled the scene and remains at large.
The motive for the shooting has not been released at this time.
