Elizabeth Police are investigating a shots-fired incident that injured a person Sunday morning.
It happened around 1:30 a.m. in the vicinity of 136 East Jersey Street.
Officers arrived at the scene and found a male lying on the ground suffering gunshot wounds.
The unidentified victim was rushed to the hospital for treatment and remained in critical condition.
Police canvassed the neighborhood for additional victims, but no other injuries were reported.
The investigation into the shooting remains active and ongoing.
