The Irvington police are currently conducting an investigation into a shooting incident that happened on Sunday in the Township.
Police said a 31-year-old male resident of Irvington sustained a non-life-threatening leg injury from a gunshot.
According to the victim, the incident occurred while he was walking around the area of 22nd Street and 18th.
He reported that individuals in a dark vehicle started firing shots, and after the car passed, he realized he had been shot.
The victim sought treatment at Beth Israel Hospital and is expected to recover.
