Authorities in Newark request the public’s help identifying a suspect who removed several packages from the front steps of the victim’s home on July 28.
Newark Public Safety Director Fritz Fragé said Police responded to the incident, which occurred at approximately 12:02 p.m. in the 100 block of 12th Avenue.
Officials say the suspect, a Black male, was captured on surveillance video taking the packages from the front porch.
According to officials, he has long dreadlocks and was wearing a baseball cap with the letter “V,” a grey T-shirt, black shorts, and black sneakers.
He was also carrying a black duffle bag, authorities say.
Director Fragé urges anyone with information about the suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
