Police in Paterson reported property damage in a neighborhood shooting early Saturday morning.
Officers responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the vicinity of 742 East 18th Street around 1:17 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found several shell casings and an unoccupied vehicle struck by bullets.
Police canvassed the community for victims, but no injuries were reported.
The suspect fled the scene and has not been arrested by police. The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
