NJ Lottery officials announced that two second-tier prizewinning tickets were sold for the Friday, July 21 drawing that matched four out of five white balls drawn, winning the $1,000,000 prize.
According to officials, those tickets were purchased at the following locations:
• Monmouth County: ShopRite #623, Routes 36 & 71, West Long Branch
• Ocean County: Wegmans Food Market, 1104 Route 35, Ocean
Officials say three third-tier prizewinning tickets were sold for the Friday, July 21 drawing that matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn, winning the $10,000 prize.
One of those tickets was purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prize to $20,000, officials said.
Those tickets were purchased at the following locations:
• Bergen County ($20,000): Foster Stationery, 465 S. Washington Ave., Bergenfield
• Hudson County ($10,000): 7-Eleven #35055, 897 Schulyer Ave., Kearny
• Monmouth County ($10,000): KDM Mart, 2510 Route 9 South, Howell
NJ Lottery officials say in addition to the second and third-tier prizes won, 80 players matched four of the five white balls drawn, making each ticket worth $500.
Six of those tickets were purchased with the Megaplier option, multiplying the prizes to $1,000, officials said.
Moreover, 134,381 other New Jersey players took home $513,278 in prizes ranging from $2 to $400.
The winning numbers for the Friday, July 21, drawing were: 29, 40, 47, 50, and 57, lottery officials stated.
Officials say the Gold Mega Ball was 25, and the Megaplier Multiplier was 02.
According to NJ lottery officials, the jackpot rolls to $820 million for the next drawing to be held on Tuesday, July 25, at 11:00 p.m.
All New Jersey Lottery Mega Millions tickets must be purchased before 10:45 p.m. to participate in the drawing. Mega Millions tickets cost just two dollars; by adding the Megaplier option for an extra dollar per play, players can increase their non-jackpot winnings up to five times.
Mega Millions tickets are sold in 46 participating jurisdictions. Drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays, officials said.
