One person suffered fatal injuries in a Bergen County car crash Sunday.
The early morning collision happened around 1:20 a.m. in the vicinity of 900 Sylvan Avenue.
According to preliminary reports, police were dispatched to the address to investigate reports of a crash with trapped occupants.
Upon arrival, officers found a severely damaged vehicle with a person trapped inside.
That individual was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency responders searched the vehicle for additional victims, but no other injuries were reported.
The cause of the crash is under an active and ongoing investigation.
