Firefighters in the Bergen County town of East Rutherford made quick work out of a fast-moving fire that erupted inside a house Monday morning.
At approximately 2:25 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to reports of a fire in the 20's block of Rose Street.
Upon arrival, crews found smoke coming from the second floor of a single-family two-story house.
Crews stretched several lines while fire officials activated a second alarm for manpower to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby homes.
Crews entered the home and located the seat of the fire, then extinguished the blaze.
EMS units were called to the scene for injuries, but the severity has not been immediately reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
