Authorities in Bergen County announced the arrest of Humberto Duenas, 61, of Ridgefield Park, on charges of aggravated sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual contact, and endangering the welfare of a child.
According to authorities, the arrest is the result of an investigation conducted by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Ridgefield Park Police Department.
Officials say on Thursday, June 29, the Ridgefield Park Police Department contacted the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Special Victims Unit regarding the alleged sexual assaults of three separate victims, including one under the age of 13.
An investigation by the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office and the Ridgefield Park Police Department revealed that Humberto Duenas sexually assaulted the victims at multiple locations.
According to Police, as a result of the investigation, on Wednesday, July 5, Humberto Duenas was arrested in Ridgefield Park and charged with two counts of first-degree aggravated sexual assault, second-degree sexual assault, third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact, and two counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.
Duenas was remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
