Police in NJ are investigating a triple shooting incident that left one person dead in Monmouth County Monday night.
Preliminary information indicated that at approximately 10:30 p.m., Asbury Park Police officers were dispatched to the vicinity of 111 3rd Avenue to investigate reports of shots fired.
Fast-responding cops arrived at the scene and found three individuals wounded at that location.
The most seriously injured of the gunshot victims was administered CPR at the scene and then rushed to an area hospital where doctors pronounced the unidentified male dead.
Police say the other two gunshot victims are currently in stable condition.
According to the investigation, police believe that armed suspects inside a blue vehicle with PA license plates pulled up to the location and began firing at the three suspects. The car then sped away from the scene.
Police in the Monmouth County region were looking for the same type of vehicle that was stolen from Marlboro.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
