Police in Clifton are looking for a man who escaped while in custody Monday morning.
Clifton Police officials said at approximately 4 AM, officers transported a prisoner to the Passaic County Jail.
When they arrived in the sallyport, the prisoner escaped from custody.
According to officials, a foot chase took place through the streets of Paterson and culminated in a yard-to-yard search - which lasted for hours before finally being broken down.
The prisoner, Isaiah Felix, 20, of Passaic, is still at large.
Police say he was arrested on July 2nd for charges stemming from a burglary and kidnapping of a family member.
The subject has ties to the Richfield Village apartments and multiple addresses in Passaic.
