Authorities in Newark request the public’s help with identifying the suspects, who robbed a gas station attendant today, June 30.
According to Newark Police, officers responded to the incident, which occurred at approximately 8:01 a.m. at the Delta Gas Station, located at 900 Mt. Prospect Avenue.
Police said the suspects, two Black males, pulled up to the gas station in a 2015 black Mercedes Benz reported stolen out of Hillside.
They exited the vehicle demanding money and assaulted the employee, punching him in the face and striking him with a chair before taking $300 to $400.
According to Police, the suspects fled east on Sylvan Avenue in the vehicle, driven by a third unknown suspect.
Police said one of the suspects is described as 5’9” with a medium build.
He was wearing a grey sweatshirt with a hood, black shoes, and pants. The second suspect is described as 5’7” with a thin build.
He was wearing all black with a white colored print on the front, and black and white Nike sneakers.
