The Cease Fire Unit is investigating a shooting that injured several individuals in a Jersey City neighborhood Wednesday morning.
According to preliminary reports, police were dispatched to reports of shots fired in the 700 block of Ocean Avenue around 1 a.m.
When cops arrived at the scene, they found a male victim suffering a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
While Cease Fire detectives searched the area, Jersey City Medical Center officials notified police when two additional victims entered the emergency room.
Police believe the walk-in gunshot victim was injured at the Ocean Avenue shooting scene.
None of the injuries were considered life-threatening, and no arrests have been reported.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
